While WI primary focuses on investment management (Investment strategy, portfolio management, investment selection, etc.), WI’s staff participates in Kaplan’s College for Financial Planning® program approved by CFP® Board.

As a complimentary service, WI offers preliminary financial planning & annual reviews to its clients. If more detailed work is required (taxes, insurance, mortgage, employee benefits, estate planning & settlement, etc.), WI will arrange the responsibilities to be completed by our network of outside advisors (accountants, attorneys, insurance agents) at reasonable expenses.

Private Family Foundations

For clients with tax issues and/or community gifting needs, WI has extensive experience in helping clients establish and maintain various types of charitable structures. These 501c3 non-profits can range from CRTs & private family foundations to supporting organizations. In addition to managing the foundation investments, WI can arrange for the legal and accounting work needed to maintain these financial entities with minimum client effort.

Customized Retirement Plan

WI has teamed up with the pension administration firm Pace TPA to offer customized & cost-effective 401k/profit sharing plans to WI business clients. Unlike the standard fixed ERISA plans offered by large investment firms, these plans are owned by the business client and allows the employee participants to independently select among WI five investment strategies. These flexible plans can be structured to allow for employees to borrow from their retirement funds for a first-time home purchase, education, or health needs.

Many high-net worth clients want investment choices beyond stocks, bonds & real estate. Through our affiliate company, Winans Commodities www.WinansCommodities.com , a client trade in physical commodities ranging from gold to cattle through exchange listed futures in either SMA accounts or private investor pools.
